About

Space Remedy

Welcome To Space Remedy

My name is Jackie and I am a professional home organiser. My aim is to help you live more with less. I want you to reclaim space and time by removing what is no longer needed or wanted. I am based in Dorset and cover Somerset and Wiltshire too. You have found me because you need change and are ready for it. I am here to help and guide you- with kindness and understanding, and always at a pace which suits you.

I want you to know I have been in your shoes. It is hard to look around your home and wonder where to start; how to deal with the clutter and the chaos, and especially how to let go off items which have cost money or hold special memories, be that of lost family members, or children now grown. Sometimes you need someone to give you permission to let go and I hope I can do this for you.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Jackie Whitley

I was a tidy child. I loved nothing more than organising my desk and my various collections: books, stickers, stamps, and rubbers to name just a few! I was a child of the 80s when all these things were precious. After I left home, every rented space was beautifully organised. I had my bed made and curated spaces to bring me joy. Rented rooms lead to my own marital home. The addition of 3 children lead to organised chaos. However, my home was still tidy and organised.

Then 10 years ago I lost both my parents in quick succession, and my middle child was diagnosed with a life changing genetic condition. Life changed drastically. I was carer as well as mum, wife and employee. I had helped my father downsize, and then not long after had to clear out his new home. The contents of an almost 50-year marriage were boxed up and moved into storage and my home and garage. My tidy home was not so tidy anymore.

Only now, 10 years later, have I managed to clear the last box. Menopause certainly hasn’t helped. Brain-fog, exhaustion, daily emotional rollercoasters, aching joints and vertigo to name just a few of my symptoms!  I have struggled with the emotional attachment of memories to items. It has been quite the journey to get back to where I was before my world imploded. I now know a tidy (not pristine) and organised home is crucial to well-being. My middle child has autism and ADHD, and benefits hugely from a calm and organised space.

I want to help you reclaim your space and live more with less. I want to help you let go of items which are no longer serving you or bringing you joy. You CAN let go of items that belonged to a loved one. They would want you to be happy. The memories will still live on. They would want you to have time and freedom to do the things you love. I want you to achieve this too, and I can help you navigate this process. Whether you are overwhelmed by chaos from inherited items, a busy life, or neurodiversity, I can help you at a pace that works for you. Together we can put systems in place to help you keep on top of things. I can also help you in other areas of home organisation as outlined in my service descriptions.

If this speaks to you then please give me a call/message me/ or send an email to arrange a FREE discovery call and we can chat further.

Cheers to reclaiming space and time, and living more with less.
